The HVM residential building consists of a traditional Alentejo hill, dating from the mid-19th century and which, throughout its existence, was the subject of progressive extensions and conservation works. Uninhabited since the 1980s. XX, it underwent a process of marked degradation that culminated in a reconstruction intervention from 2019 to 2021, the year in which the first guests were welcomed.

Set in Santiago do Cacém, Herdade de Vale Maceiras offers accommodation with a patio or a balcony, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a garden.
