The city of Moura has always been known for the quality of its OLIVE OIL… Since the Roman period, agricultural activity has existed in the region with the aim of producing the famous olive oil of Moura – THE LIQUID GOLD. On this tour we start by visiting the Lagar de Varas do Fojo, where we will learn about the ancient process of olive oil production. Then, we head out towards the centenary olive groves which surround the town. The ancient trees keep us company, some of which are over a thousand years old. We finish with an olive oil tasting under an olive tree.
