Located next to the Alqueva dam, the CIAL – Alqueva Interpretation Center is based on an interpretative concept of the Alqueva project, which began in the middle of the last century and reaches the present day as the “Multipurpose Enterprise” that contributes to regional and national development.

At CIAL, the visitor is welcomed, invited to talk, interpret and get to know the Alqueva project, from the territory, through the infrastructure construction phase and respective complementary actions, to its current valences and management.

CIAL has three distinct areas: an exhibition and multimedia space, an auditorium with capacity for 50 seats and a seating area where you can consult the various EDIA publications and gather information about the Region.

Closed on January 1st, Good Friday and Easter Sunday, May 1st and December 25th.
